Grant County Cooling Centers

With higher temps in the forecast, the Grant County Health Department has set up cooling centers across the county. There is center open in Montfort at St Thomas Church from 8 ti 4 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Also in Platteville – there are cooling centers open weekdays at First English Lutheran Church from 9 til 1 … the Platteville Senior Center from 7am til 6pm … and Platteville City Hall from 8am til 4:30pm. Those at risk of heat-related illness should take additional precautions as the heat index is projected to reach triple digits.
