Grant County authorities have released more details on a two-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon along Highway 151 near Dickeyville. According to a sheriff’s office report, 86-year-old Neil Millard of Livingston was stopped at the intersection of Highway 151 and Hill Climb Road around 12:30 p.m. As Millard began to cross the southbound lanes of the highway, he struck a vehicle being driven by 37-year-old Alexander Jaeger of Dubuque. Deputies say Jaeger’s vehicle went into the median, rolled several times, and came to rest on its roof back in the southbound lanes of Highway 151. Millard’s vehicle stopped in the concrete median crossover. Dickeyville EMS took Jaeger to a Dubuque hospital for treatment of his injuries. Jaeger’s passenger – 60-year-old Mary Jaeger, also of Dubuque – was trapped inside the vehicle. Once freed from the upside down vehicle, she was taken for treatment by an Air Care helicopter that landed at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
