A Platteville teen received minor injuries after her vehicle struck multiple horses in the roadway early Saturday. Grant County authorities say 18-year-old Kaelyn Weigel was driving west on Maple Ridge Road outside of Platteville around 6am. Weigel said she was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the animals in the roadway – two horses and two ponies. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. Weigel was taken to Southwest Health for treatment. The sheriff’s report did not provide an update on the condition of the animals.
