A Silver Alert for a Prairie du Chien man last seen Wednesday morning has been canceled after he was found safe. Authorities said Thursday morning that 74-year-old Patrick Lessard was found safe. The Prairie du Chien Police Department initially said Lessard’s caretaker saw him leave his home on E. Taylor Street in Prairie du Chien at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities last had contact with his cell phone at about 11 a.m., when it indicated he was in the area of 14th Street and Washington Street in Dubuque, Iowa.
