Single Vehicle Crash Injures One Person Near Galena

Authorities say one person was hurt in a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning near Galena. 49 year old Blake A. Chumbler of Savanna, Ill., was taken by ambulance to Midwest Medical Center in Galena for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. According to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department,  Chumbler was traveling west on Highway 20 near Eagle Ridge Drive in heavy rainfall shortly after 5am when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle entered a ditch and struck several trees and a culvert. Chumbler was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
