Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man from Belmont following a welfare check. Deputies responded to West Liberty Street in Belmont Saturday around 10:30pm and arrested 32 year old Hector Escorcia-Perez for Domestic Battery, Strangulation, False Imprisonment, and Domestic Disorderly Conduct. Escorcia-Perez was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
