One Vehicle Accident in Lafayette County

No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Fayette Township Tuesday just before 7am. A deputy from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to County Highway F in Fayette Township where 25 year old Javier Morales-Lopez of Darlington lost control of his vehicle, causing it to go off the road and enter a ditch, then struck a power pole. Morales-Lopez’ vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene. Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperation assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
