A 42-year-old Darlington man has pled not guilty to multiple charges related to an attack on his girlfriend earlier this year. Gregory Frechette entered his plea in Lafayette County Circuit Court. He faces charges of attempted 1st-degree homicide, strangulation, intimidating a victim, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct. The charges stemmed from an argument Frechette had with his girlfriend in late May, which led to the alleged physical assault. Frechette is scheduled to be in court again next week (Sept 22).
