In a postgame interview on ESPN, Jones said he was wearing a portion of his father’s ashes in a pendant around his neck, but the chain broke on one of the touchdown-scoring plays.
Jones said after the game the Lambeau Field grounds crew was actively looking for the chain and pendant after the game, but if there was any place he was going to lose it, his dad would want him to lose it in the endzone.
Luckily, Jones told The Steve Czaban Show on 97.3 The Game on Tuesday morning that the grounds crew had successfully found the pendant.
Alvin Jones, Sr. died in April at the age of 57 after a battle with COVID-19. The elder Jones was a constant presence, attending every one of Aaron Jones’ games and forming a bond with several Packers teammates.
