A Montfort man will spend 10 years in federal prison after he pled guilty to stealing several firearms that he traded or sold to a Dubuque drug dealer. Sentencing for 23-year-old Shiloh Wolf was handed down in a US District Court on Tuesday. Along with a 10-year prison sentence, Wolf must also pay $6-thousand dollars in restitution to the firearms’ owner. Authorities say Wolf admitted to stealing 10 pistols and revolvers, as well as 800 rounds of ammunition, from a Bagley home in 2016. He says he traded the guns and ammo to a meth dealer for cash and drugs. A release from the US Attorney’s Office says “Iowa law enforcement officers discovered a number of felons and drug users in possession of the firearms that Wolf had stolen.” Police say 5 of the 10 stolen firearms still remain at large.
