Four people were injured in a two vehicle crash near Hazel Green on Saturday. At around 11:40 AM, the Grant County Dispatch Center was notified of an accident at Highway 80 and York Road. 57 year old Steven Kaiser of Cuba City was traveling north on Highway 80 and stopped for a vehicle turning west on York Road. 35 year old Alicia Kuhse of Gratiot was also traveling north on Highway 80 and did not see Kaiser stopped in traffic waiting for the vehicle in front of him to turn. Kuhse attempted to stop but was unable to avoid striking Kaiser’s vehicle. Kuhse and her passenger were taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. Kaiser and his passenger were taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. Both vehicles had heavy damage. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were the Hazel Green Fire Department, Hazel Green EMS, Cuba City EMS, Benton First Responders, Guy’s Truck and Tractor of Kieler and Donnie’s Towing of Dickeyville.
