A man from Mount Hope died as a result of injuries in a tree cutting accident Sunday. Just after 12noon, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a logging incident on Big Green Road in Woodman Township. Upon investigation, it was found that 58 year old Ronald Conley was cutting trees for firewood when a falling tree struck him. Mt Hope Fire, Boscobel Fire, Boscobel EMS, West Grant First Responders, Woodman First Responders, the Wisconsin DNR, and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, but Conley died of his injuries at the scene.
