Woman From Highland Arrested After Welfare Check

A woman from Highland was arrested after getting into an altercation with Iowa County Deputies Monday night. Deputies with the Iowa County Sheriff’s department responded to a welfare check on 32 year old Paige Abbott around 7:45pm and then arrested Abbott for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Throwing or Expelling Bodily Substances. Abbott was taken to the Iowa County Jail where she was booked on her charges and remains in custody pending a bond hearing.
