No one was injured when a wheel fell off a truck and struck another vehicle Wednesday in Lafayette County. According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, 20 year old Edwin Ramos-Castaneada of Darlington was traveling south on Highway 23 in Darlington Township shortly before 11:30pm when a wheel on his truck fell off in the lane of travel causing the vehicle behind him, driven by 55 year old Robert King of Gratiot, to strike it. Both vehicles had moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Ramos-Castaneada was cited for Operating After Suspension and No Proof of Insurance.
