Badgers’ Scott Nelson ready for showdown with Michigan

MADISON, Wis. — Every game is a big game for Scott Nelson, but games against Michigan schools mean a bit more.

The senior free safety grew up in Detroit and holds no love for the Michigan Wolverines, growing up as a Michigan St. Spartans fan.

As the Badgers prepare for their matchup against the Wolverines, Nelson is looking forward to scoring a win against a more personal rival.

“It’s always fun playing a team that you grew up so close to,” Nelson said. “Everybody was always like ‘go here, go here,’ you just kind of laugh and chuckle.”

The Badgers host Michigan at Camp Randall Stadium Saturday, kickoff is at 11 a.m.
