UW-Platteville is celebrating its Sesquicentennial Hall with a ceremony on Wednesday (Oct 6). According to a release, the event will feature Chancellor Dennis Shields and other university leaders, who will talk about the latest engineering facility. During this ceremony, a structural beam will be signed and raised to its permanent location on the roof. The $55-million dollar hall will be part of a 200,000-square-foot complex that supports engineering and computer science. Wednesday’s ceremony on the UW-Platteville campus begins at 1p and is being held at the gazebo across from the construction site. Sesquicentennial Hall is scheduled to open next fall.
