A woman from Fennimore died when her vehicle crashed into a creek Tuesday. Just after 3pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a van that had crashed into a creek on Roger Hollow Road, near Townline Road in the Township of Fennimore. An investigation showed that the vehicle was traveling north on Roger Hollow Road when the vehicle traveled off the road into the ditch on the west side of the road. The vehicle continued in the ditch for a distance before hitting a culvert and becoming air-born ejecting the driver, 29 year old Nicole Ronnfeldt of Fennimore. Ronnfeldt was critically injured and was taken by Lancaster EMS to Grant Regional Health Center. Life saving efforts continued, but Ronnfeldt ultimately died from her injuries. Fennimore EMS, Fennimore Fire Department, the Fennimore Police Department, Lancaster Fire Department, and UW Med Flight assisted with the crash. The crash is still under investigation by Grant County Sheriff’s Office. This is the 6th fatal crash in Grant County in 2021, and the third one in three days
