Lancaster Shelter Re-opening and Re-naming

Officials with the City of Lancaster and the Lancaster Community Fund have announced the completion of improvements at the Warming Shelter at Memorial Park. The city has also announced it is renaming the facility the “Sonny” Shelter – in honor of Charles Sonny Tiedemann. The Tiedemann Charitable Fund donated almost $135-thousand dollars to help improve the shelter. City officials have scheduled a ribbon cutting to be held at 5pm Monday (Oct 11) at the refurbished Sonny Shelter. It’s located just down from the Lancaster Memorial Pool.
