Grant County Native Running For Illinois Seat

A man originally from Lancaster has said he is going to run for Congress in northwest Illinois. Jonathan Logemann – who is currently a teacher and city council member in Rockford – announced his bid for the Illinois 17th Congressional District seat. That position is held now by Cheri Bustos, who said in May she would not seek another term in 2022. Logemann is the first Democrat to officially announce his candidacy for the US House seat. Two Republicans have already declared their intentions to run.
