The team is not allowed to disclose if Lazard tested positive for COVID-19 or was considered a close contact of Adams or another positive case. However, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that Lazard is not vaccinated and is being considered a close contact.
NFL rules state unvaccinated players who are close contacts must go on the COVID-19 list even if they do not test positive, meaning Lazard will miss 5 days and will be unavailable Thursday night.
Lazard is coming off his best game of the season to date, catching 5 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown against Washington this past Sunday. Lazard is also a significant contributor as a blocker in the Packers’ run game.
If he were to miss Thursday night’s game, Aaron Rodgers’ top receiving option would be Randall Cobb. The team hopes Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be able to play after being out with a hamstring injury.

Adams was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list on Monday after testing positive. Since Adams is vaccinated, he will be allowed to return to the team once he produces two negative tests at least 24 hours apart.
Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry also tested positive on Monday.
