Badger wrestling gets ready for season-opening bouts

MADISON, Wis. – The Badgers are entering this year with high expectations, and with new transfers and freshmen ready to wrestle.

That includes Braxton Amos, who won gold at the Junior World Championships.

Coming off a 12th place finish in conference play last year, the team is ready to show Badger wrestling is back.

“A lot of us are just ready to go,” senior Garrett Model said. “A lot of us are just clawing to get out and kind of make a statement right away.”

The Badgers start their season on Monday against Buffalo.
