GREEN BAY — Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Sunday’s game against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to multiple media sources.
Report: Aaron Rodgers tests positive for COVID-19, out for Sunday’s game vs. Kansas City

Backup quarterback Jordan Love will get the start on Sunday in Rodgers’ place, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport.
It is unclear if Rodgers had received the COVID-19 vaccine. He told reporters earlier in the year that he had been immunized, but Rapaport is reporting that Rodgers was not vaccinated.
The news comes after Packers third-string quarterback Kurt Benkert also tested positive for COVID-19, and the Packers missed wide receivers Davante Adams and Allen Lazard for their game last Thursday after Adams also tested positive.
The Packers are 7-1 after an upset win over the Cardinals last Thursday night and have a multiple-game lead in the NFC North division.
