MADISON, Wis. – The Badgers are back in the AP Top 25 for the first time since September.
The latest poll has Wisconsin at No. 20.
The Badgers began the season at No. 12 but fell out of the Top 25 after back-to-back losses to Notre Dame and Illinois.
The team has since turned their season around, winning five games in a row including a game against Iowa.
The Hawkeyes were ranked No. 9 at the time. Now, they are No. 19.
Wisconsin regained its ranked status last week when the College Football Playoff Committee ranked the team No. 21.
The Badgers are seemingly guaranteed to move up the CFP rankings after No. 20 Minnesota lost to Illinois on Saturday.
With three games remaining, the Badgers are tied for the lead in the Big Ten West with Minnesota.
Wisconsin’s final three games are against Northwestern, Nebraska, and the Gophers, none of which are ranked in this week’s AP poll.
