The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle crash on Highway 133 near Oak Lane in the Township of Waterloo Thursday just after 11pm. After an investigation, it was found that 17 year old Noah Vaughn of Cassville fell asleep behind the wheel and left the roadway on the right side while approaching a curve. The vehicle struck a culvert and became airborne. The vehicle continued into a field and then struck a second culvert to a driveway. The vehicle then re-entered the highway and crossed both lanes before coming to a rest in a ditch on the south side of road. Vaughn was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured in the crash. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed. Donnie’s Tire and Auto of Dickeyville assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
