Case Of Missing Woman From Green County Updated

A new criminal charge against the boyfriend of a missing Green County woman shows he was with her just before she disappeared. Officials charged 35-year-old Derek Hammer with felony bail jumping last week. Hammer and 37-year-old Melissa Trumpy both face drug charges in Green County. Trumpy, of Monticello, was last seen in Illinois in late October. Now, the latest criminal complaint, states Hammer was with Trumpy the day she went missing. Authorities say Trumpy’s car was found abandoned in Shannon, Illinois. Investigators have not identified Hammer as a person of interest in her disappearance. Hammer is in custody in at the Stephenson County Jail in Freeport related to a 2019 drug case.
