Driver Arrested for Operating With A Controlled Substance

A Boscobel man was arrested after authorities were called to assist a motorist along Highway 151 on Monday afternoon. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were dispatched to an area near County Road Y in Mineral Point Township. Officials talked with the driver who was identified as 20-year-old Hunter Newberry. Following an investigation, Newberry was arrested for operating with a controlled substance. He was also arrested on a probation hold thru the department of corrections. Newberry was taken to the Iowa County Jail where he was booked on his charges before being traffered to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
