A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered for a former Spring Green woman who was charged in connection to the death of her 13-month-old daughter. Authorities initially charged 23-year-old Mariah Gay with neglecting a child resulting in death. She now faces a count of child neglect causing bodily harm. Gay pled no contest to the charge during a hearing in Sauk County court. Officials say the child died on the way to the hospital in February 2019 after having multiple seizures. An autopsy showed the child died from ingesting a massive amount of anti-depressants that were prescribed to Gay. A sentencing hearing is set for March.
