Dubuque Student Charged With Making School Threat

Dubuque Police have charged a 12-year-old after he posted a threat on social media. According to a police report, a Washington Middle School student notified staff that another student had threatened to bring a weapon to school. Officers and school staff located the student who posted the message. An investigation determined no weapon was brought onto school property. The 12-year-old was charged with threat of terrorism and has been sent to a juvenile detention center.
