A deputy with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence on East Liberty Street in Belmont Tuesday around 11pm to assist the Belmont Police Department with a domestic dispute. As a result, 37 year old Steven Schave of Platteville was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Strangulation. Schave was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
