Snow covered roads caused a Platteville teen to crash into a creek Tuesday morning. According to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office report, 16-year-old Shaena Prestegard was driving west on Patch Road around 11:15. Prestegard lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center-line, struck a guard-rail and came to rest in the Snowden Branch Creek. Prestegard was able to get out of the submerged vehicle and walk to a nearby home for help. A passenger in her vehicle was able to get off the vehicle’s roof with assistance from area residents. No injuries were reported.
