If you’re a team about to play Prairie du Chien, at the very least, you have to be thinking about doubling senior Lily Krahn, the team’s unquestioned star who’ll be playing for the Wisconsin Badgers next year.
She’s scored 20 points a game each of the last two seasons, and even though opposing teams know how deadly she is, she’s still shaking off double teams and scoring 20 points a game this year.
Her head coach says even when defenses start to take away her open looks, she’s learned how to see the court even better and get other girls involved.
“She’s done a great job offensively,” Shedivy said. “I think it’s been good to see her now taking some strides defensively, just trying to be a great passer. That’s really excelled this year.”
In previous seasons she’s only had a couple assists a game. This year she’s averaging five, along with over three steals a game.
Krahn and the Blackhawks next host River Valley Friday at 7:30 p.m.
