A snowmobile racer was seriously injured in a crash during the Theisen’s Snocross National snowmobile racing event Saturday at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds. 28 year old Lincoln Lemieux of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, was injured when another snowmobile landed on him. According to a report, Lemieux suffered a collapsed lung, multiple broken ribs and multiple fractured vertebrae. A liter of blood was drained from his lungs, two tubes were inserted to reinflate his collapsed lung, and Lemieux likely will require surgery. Reports say that Lemieux will be unable to return to Vermont for a couple of weeks or more.
