A Grant County man has been sentenced to four years in prison and nine years of extended supervision for drug and weapons convictions. 42 year old Jeremy Koppen of Preston was sentenced in Grant County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of narcotic drugs, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a short-barreled shotgun. Six other charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal. Koppen was arrested in June after Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force investigators executed a search warrant on a residence in Preston, located in Fennimore Township, and a reports says they found methamphetamine, heroin, firearms and stolen property.
