Several area fire departments were called to a barn fire just outside of South Wayne around 9p Wednesday night. Authorities report that Gratiot and South Wayne Fire Departments were paged to Wayne Center Road, just south of Highway 11 for the structure fire. Mutual aid was requested from communities including Argyle, rural Monroe, Browntown and the Green County EMS. More details on the fire are pending.
