Jo Daviess County authorities say a woman was injured Friday night in a crash near Elizabeth. 35 year old Veronica Villareal of Bolingbrook, Illinois was taken by ambulance to Midwest Medical Center in Galena for treatment. According to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred at about 11:25 p.m. Friday at the intersection of West Stadel and West Menzemer roads in rural Elizabeth. A report says that Villareal was driving southeast on Menzemer when she tried to turn onto Stadel, but her vehicle spun out and crashed into a ditch. Villereal was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
