A 70-year-old man has died after falling thru the ice at Kendall Lake between Avoca and Muscoda. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office says that James McCann was drilling thru the ice when he fell into the water. Authorities believe McCann was able to get himself out of the water after falling thru, but later died because of the cold. Iowa County officials, along with Muscoda Fire and EMS, were called to the area along Highway 133 about 6:45 Thursday morning. Deputies say no foul play is suspected.
