One COVID-19-related death was reported in the area om March 9 to Wednesday. During the most recent seven-day period, one COVID-19-related death was reported in Dubuque County. There were two people with COVID-19 hospitalized Wednesday at UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital and none at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. Meanwhile, Dubuque Community Schools, Holy Family Catholic Schools and Western Dubuque Community School District over the past week all discontinued reporting COVID-19 cases among students and staff, citing the current status of the coronavirus locally. As of Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rated the COVID-19 community level as low for Clayton and Dubuque counties in Iowa; Crawford, Grant, Iowa and Lafayette counties in Wisconsin; and Jo Daviess County, Ill. A medium rating had been issued for Delaware, Jackson and Jones counties in Iowa.
