Several thousand dollars will be coming to dozens of law enforcement agencies across southwest Wisconsin. The funds awarded are part of the American Rescue Plan Act. Governor Tony Evers announced a total of $19-million dollars going to departments state-wide. Locally – nine police departments in Grant County will get a combined amount of almost $100-thousand dollars, while the Grant County Sheriff’s Office is getting $64-thousand dollars. Also included in the funding is roughly $27-thousand dollars for the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, and $32-thousand dollars for the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office.
