Grant County authorities have released details about a crash last week in which one person was injured. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, 33 year old Nicholas Knoble of Gays Mills, suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment. The crash occurred at about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 61 north of Rogers Road, between Lancaster and Fennimore. Reports say Knoble was northbound when he tried to pass a pickup truck in a no-passing zone. The truck allegedly sped up and swerved at Knoble’s vehicle. Knoble lost control of his vehicle and traveled back into the northbound lane. Knoble then left the roadway, and his vehicle became stuck in a field. The vehicle was badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Knoble was cited with passing in a no-passing zone and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
