An Avoca woman was taken to the hospital after a road rage incident Wednesday morning led to a crash on Highway 61 near Boscobel. Authorities say 27-year-old Lacey Bielfeldt of Boscobel was tailgating and honking her horn at a vehicle being driven by 57-year-old Vanda Sailing. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, as Sailing slowed to pull over, Bielfeldt struck the back of Sailing’s vehicle. Sailing was taken to an area hospital with possible injuries. Upon further investigation, officials learned Bielfeldt had earlier gotten into a verbal argument with her husband – 36-year-old Clint Bielfeldt. The two were in separate vehicles and both were driving erratically and speeding. Authorities say Lacey passed Clint and then struck the Sailing vehicle on purpose because she would not get out of the way. Clint’s vehicle was not involved in the crash. There were 3 juvenile children in the vehicle with Lacey – no one in that vehicle reported any injuries. The incident is under investigation. Multiple citations are expected
