Texas Man Arrested For Drunk Driving Crash

A Texas man has been arrested for drunk driving after a two-vehicle crash near Dickeyville on Saturday. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-old Zachary Brooks of Pflugerville, Texas, was driving north on Highway 151 around 7 p.m. He rear-ended a vehicle being occupied by John and Ruth Hauber of Kieler. Both Haubers were taken to Mercy One Dubuque Medical Center. Brooks was transported to Southwest Health. Once cleared from the hospital, Brooks was taken to the Grant County Jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated causing injury. He was released on a cash bond.
