A deputy with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to Highway 11 in the Village of South Wayne Monday shortly after noon for a minor two vehicle accident. 49 year old Jill Schultz of South Wayne was traveling west on Highway 11 and 68 year old Randall Patterson of Monroe was stopped at a stop sign. Patterson proceeded into the intersection and did not see Schultz and struck her vehicle. Both persons denied EMS medical attention. Schultz’s vehicle was towed from the scene with severe damage, while Patterson’s vehicle had minor damage and was driven from the scene. Patterson was cited for No Valid Driver’s License and Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
