The Lancaster Common Council has approved a one-year contract between the city and the Wisconsin Professional Police Association, representing city patrol officers. The council approved the contract on a 5-1 vote. With the approved contract, pay for a starting police officer in Lancaster will be $24.12 per hour, up from $23.19 per hour. The Lancaster Police Department has six patrol officers represented by the association. The contract expires December 31st.
