Two warning sirens in the City of Lancaster are currently out of service, one of which is located at the intersection of City Limits Road and Adams Street, and one located near the end of South Tyler Street. The city is aware of the problem and is working to restore service. Grant County Emergency Management recommends that households have multiple ways to receive warnings which in addition to nearby sirens should also include a NOAA weather radio or enabling the Wireless Emergency Alert feature on your cellular phone. Lancaster residents who would like to learn more about NOAA weather radios or Wireless Emergency Alerts are encouraged to contact Grant County Emergency Management at 608-723-7171.
