The chief operating officer of the group which now owns the Field of Dreams movie site says the plans they have for development there won’t take away from the iconic field. The announcement of an $80 million dollar investment by “Go the Distance Baseball” has generated a lot of comments. Dan Evans says his group wanted to make sure the property looks and acts the same – and people who come there are not going to see a movie site that is compromised. Evans says they eventually want to bid on hosting the state baseball and softball tournaments at the site.
