Teen Hurt In Crash

A Gratiot teen was hurt after crashing into a semi Tuesday evening. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office says crews were called to Walnut Road in Wiota Township around 5:30p. According to a report, 16-year-old Raquel Reuter was driving east when her vehicle left the roadway. She over-corrected, came back onto the road and collided with a semi being driven by 48-year-old John Loy of Glen Haven. Reuter was taken to an area hospital. Loy denied medical treatment. The semi was driven from the scene with moderate damage. Reuter’s vehicle had to be towed away.
