A Platteville teen was hurt in a two-vehicle crash that happened on Wednesday. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says emergency crews were called to the intersection of Crosscut and Badland Roads, about four miles north of Platteville. Authorities report that 17-year-old Gabrielle Giesen was driving north on Badland Road. At the same time, 40-year-old Laverne Russell of Mineral Point was going east on Crosscut Road. Giesen failed to yield right of way at the intersection and both vehicles collided. Giesen was taken to Southwest Health for treatment of minor injuries.
