A man from Darlington was arrested on two OWI charges Sunday in addition to other violations which occurred about seven hours apart. 24 year Kevin Garcia-Martinez was arrested Sunday shortly after 5AM for operating while under the influence following a traffic stop on Washington Street after he nearly struck a police car. Garcia-Martinez was also cited for operating without a valid license, failure to yield the right-of-way from a parked position, and no insurance. Garcia-Martinez was taken to jail where he was booked and later released. Garcia-Martinez was later arrested around 12:30 PM for operating while under the influence following a traffic stop on East Cornelia Street. Garcia-Martinez was also arrested for bail jumping and received additional citations for operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was again taken to jail and his vehicle was towed.
