The jury trial of Laurie and Alexis Barry continues. The mother and daughter are charged with first-degree reckless homicide as party to a crime for the May 2018 death of Selah Kaden, a 13-year-old girl that was under their care at the time at their home on Miller Road in the Town of Mineral Point. Laurie Barry has testified in the trial being held at the Iowa County courthouse in Dodgeville. A forensic pathologist has also testified. The trial, which was previously expected to last two weeks, is now expected to conclude early this week, as the defense will call their own expert witnesses today (Monday).
