An Apple River, Illinois man will be sentenced later this month after he pled guilty to 2nd-degree arson charges. Reports show that 22-year Chandler Bourgeous has a sentencing hearing on May 31st. Police say a video showed Bourgeous removing property from an Asbury home as heavy smoke was coming from inside the residence. There’s also video evidence of Bourgeous and another man driving away from the blaze without notifying police or fire departments. Officials will recommend a 10-year suspended prison sentence and up to 5 years of probation.
